Gardening: Green Growers
Food Hub
Green Growers is our friendly community gardening group where residents can learn to grow fruit, vegetables, and herbs in a relaxed outdoor setting. The programme supports people to build gardening skills, enjoy nature, and connect with others through shared growing activities.
What to Expect
Guided gardening sessions suitable for all experience levels
Seasonal planting, growing, and harvesting
Learning about sustainable gardening and food growing
A calm, supportive environment to enjoy being outdoors
How the Programme Runs
Green Growers runs as a 4‑week programme, delivered twice a year — once in spring and once in autumn.
Alongside the structured programme, the garden remains open every Thursday during our Social Wellbeing Café, where visitors are welcome to get involved informally, help with light gardening tasks, or simply enjoy the space.
Who It’s For
Anyone interested in gardening, enjoying outdoor spaces, learning new skills, or connecting with others in the community.
Referrals / How to Join
You can take part through drop‑in access during the Social Wellbeing Café or join the 4‑week programme through referral or self‑sign‑up. Support workers and partner organisations can refer residents who would benefit from a supported start.
