Dementia & Carers

Providing vital support, resources, and community connections for individuals living with dementia and their dedicated carers.

ShipShape is part of a citywide network of community organisations dedicated to supporting local people to improve their health and wellbeing. We have a particular focus on supporting people living with dementia and their cares, helping them take part in activities both at ShipShape and across the wider community, all tailored to meet their individual needs.


As part of a citywide initiative led by Sheffield City Council, ShipShape contributes to making Sheffield a more dementia-friendly city, ensuring that people living with dementia and their carers feel supported, included, and valued.


Our Dementia Services cover people in the following areas: Sharrow, Broomhall and City Centre Our dementia Link Worker can help you ,if you need:

  • someone to chat to

  • information and support on activities that carers and people with dementia can attend

  • get 1-2-1 support (virtual or face to face)

  • signposting and referring

  • sharing your experiences of Dementia and being a carer to help us capture your journey in our Memories Café
